Coming home to the heart
8th January - 11th January 2026
Soften & Surrender
Begin the year rooted in openness and love — the greatest gift you can give yourself and those around you. In a world so often fuelled by fear, control, and separation, we choose to be guided by love, trust, and connection. And it’s so much easier to find that together. Join us for a journey coming home to the heart.
At Life & Soul Retreats, we do things differently. Our uniqueness lies in the dance between opposites — stillness and expression, solitude and togetherness, joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, doubt and daring. Our retreats honour the full spectrum of being human, holding space for every emotion, every state, every shade in between. In this wholeness, true connection and transformation are born.
What to Expect
-
Our intention is to create spaces where we can feel more connected to ourselves, each other and to nature. We use what has helped and shaped us - yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, art, creativity, rituals, circles, nature, sharing, silence and play - in order to do that. You will be held in a beautiful community of supportive people and get the opportunity to explore your authentic self, uncover what truly matters to you, and learn tools to bring more ease, joy, and alignment into your daily life.

Our retreats center around Traditional Hatha Tantra Yoga, a practice that balances the physical, energetic, and spiritual aspects of your being. Meditation is at the heart of a yoga practice and is essential for cultivating harmony between body and mind.T o prepare for this, we practice physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation, readying the body and energy for deeper spiritual practices.
The Tantra element(often misunderstood) focuses on how we use energy, awareness, and consciousness to connect with our inner self and the universe. Its aim is integration: harmonising body, mind, and spirit while awakening your energy in a practical, grounded way.
Through Hatha Tantra Yoga, you can:
Cultivate awareness and presence in the body
Release tension and stagnant energy
Connect more deeply with yourself and your inner guidance
Integrate mind, body, and spirit
Explore energy and consciousness safely and intentionally
In addition to Hatha Tantra Yoga, the retreat includes Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep. It is a guided meditative practice that promotes profound relaxation and rejuvenation.
Our approach is transformative yet accessible, grounding you in your body while opening you to deeper energetic and spiritual experiences.
You don’t need any prior experience with yoga—just a curious mind and an open heart. -
Our workshops are designed to complement the retreat’s theme, the yoga practices, and the energy of the season. For this retreat — beginning the new calendar year while nestled in the stillness of winter — our focus will be on self-reflection, self-love, and sharing your heart with others. Together, we’ll explore inner and outer harmony: the world within you and the world around you.
This is a time to gently release control and lean into trust, surrender, and faith in your unique path. You are always guided and held — sometimes we just need to get quiet enough to feel it.
Each workshop creates space for honest connection with yourself and others. You’ll be invited to share openly, learn from each other’s experiences, and feel deeply supported in your journey. They meet you exactly where you are, offering space to listen to yourself and connect with your own inner wisdom.
Every session is both practical and transformative, giving you simple tools and exercises to integrate into daily life — so the impact of the retreat continues to ripple long after it ends.
-
A big part of our retreats is reconnecting with nature. When we step away from screens and routines and immerse ourselves in the natural world, something shifts - we slow down, breathe deeper, and remember that we are part of something bigger. Cold-water swims, wonder walks and time outdoors are an important part of the retreat, helping to awaken the senses, calm down the nervous system, and ground us. Nature has a way of stripping things back to what really matters, keeping us in the present and opening us to new perspectives.
-
Food is the way to your heart, and we know that. All of our meals are plant-based, nourishing, and designed to support both body and mind. We cook and eat together as a community, turning mealtimes into a chance to connect, share stories, and enjoy the simple pleasures of a meal created from love. Preparing and eating food in this way slows us down, deepens our sense of togetherness, and reminds us of the pleasure in mindful, conscious living. If you have any specific dietary requirements, these can be catered to.
